ABOUT THE REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible to work in Ontario’s recreational cannabis industry an individual must be able to meet the following conditions:
Be over 19 years of age.
Government issued ID will be required as proof of age.
Successfully complete the Basic CannSell Certification program:

ABOUT THE AVAILABLE POSITIONS
Cannsultant: – 4 Full Time and 15 Part Time Positions available.
Customers expect you to be the educator, role model, subject matter expert, myth-buster, and compliance guru when it comes to recreational cannabis retail sales. Little Leaf Cannsultants utilize a needs-based methodology that focuses on building relationships and identifying solutions that are helpful and fact-based, leaving the decision-making to the customer; all while remaining compliant to the governing laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
Education – High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience – 1 year of retail experience preferred.
Cannabis – No prior cannabis experience is required, but beneficial.
Regulatory – Be 19+. Pass a Police background check. Pass the Basic CannSell
Certification program as pre-employment conditions.
Skills:
– Excellent verbal and written communication.
– Active listening.
– Adaptable to change and shifting priorities.
– Social perceptiveness.
– Attention to detail.
General Accountabilities:
– ID all customers who appear under the age of 30.
– Adherence to all company policies and procedures of Little Leaf.
– Adherence to all laws and regulations set by the AGCO and the Federal and
Provincial government along with a general understanding of the
potential penalties for non-compliance.
– Warmly welcome all customers into the store.
– Craft a memorable customer experience through the use of our
consultative process and in depth cannabis product and accessory
knowledge. (Full, comprehensive in house training will be provided.)
– Physical requirements involve lifting up to 20kg from floor to shelving
height. Frequent twisting, bending and extended periods of standing.
– Merchandising, restocking, and maintaining a clean, neat and inviting
store environment.
– Adaptable and comfortable to rotating job functions.
– Responsible for Point of Sale operations, login security, key fob control and
other cash management duties.
– Aiding in the opening and closing procedures of the store as per Standard
Operating Procedures.
– Reporting suspicious behaviours or abusive customers to the supervisor or
manager while remaining professional and composed.
– Being accurate and detail oriented when dealing with inventory, cash and
sharing of fact-based information with customers.
– Operate with high levels of integrity, honesty, personal responsibility, and
accountability.
– Works collaboratively within a team environment.
– Flexible in scheduling to meet the needs of the business.
– Performs other related duties as needed.

Cannavisor: – 1 Full Time position available.
In addition to the duties and responsibilities of the Cannsultant, the Cannavisor is a leader, brand ambassador, authority on compliance, and subject matter experts. As a Cannavisor, you will support the Manager in ensuring that all daily operating procedures are performed as required while promoting a company image of excellence through a strong work ethic, leadership by example, and the consistent delivery of impeccable customer service and visual presentation. Through the supervision of Cannsultants, you will maximize sales and contribute to their overall development. The Cannavisor is also an authority on the intricacies of compliance, operational procedures and processes.
Qualifications:
Education – High School Diploma or equivalent, post secondary education
is considered an asset.
Experience – 3 years of retail experience preferred.
Leadership – 1 year of people management preferred.
Cannabis – 1 year of cannabis industry experience preferred.
Regulatory – Be 19+. Pass a Police background check. Pass the Basic CannSell
Certification program as pre-employment conditions.
